You can knit or crochet 7” x 9” squares, using any pattern and any
yarn. Place your squares in a zip lock bag, include your name and
address, and drop off in the mail to us at the addy below. We will
combine your squares with others we make and receive to make
blankets. This is a great way to use up that extra yarn that you
may have from other projects. It takes about 25-30 of these
squares to make a blanket. Not only do we sew them together,
but we crochet a border around the entire blanket. One blanket
takes about 25+ hours to make and uses about 1500 yards of
yarn. So we need all the help we can get!
You may wish to make granny squares - that's fine, but just make
sure we have enough to make a blanket.
You may wish to go ahead and sew your own squares together to
send in the entire blanket. That's great! We are beginning to get
so many squares, that your sewing them together will help us
immensely!
Or you may wish to make a blanket that doesn't have squares but
was entire knit or crochet as one piece - that's great, too.

blankets for us. The average size should be about 35" x 45" for

f you'd prefer not to send anything to us, that's fine, too. Consider
making blankets for your local Red Cross and other giving
organizations in your own area.
