The LINK  -  This is a FREE publication to home
schoolers and contains lots of informative articles.  They
aren't reliable in terms of mailings; but you can glean lots of
information and their current issues online at their site.
Note:  I have had a difficult time getting on their mailing
list.  I've submitted my info 4 times and still no response.
I read it at our local library - when the LINK remembers to
send them an issue!
While I cannot vouch for all of these publications, the ones in green are
ones I have read or currently subscribe to and highly recommend.
Homeschool Publications and Magazines
Homeschool Books
Below is a list of books that I have found extremely helpful in learning more about homeschooling, the
various homeschooling philosophies, and how to homeschool in a relaxed environment.  I like
homeschooling books that cut to the chase without alot of fluff.  These do just that.
While I have provided links to the home sites where possible, you may also wish to check out Amazon.com
The Successful Homeschool Family Handbook by Dr. Raymond and
Dorothy Moore  - a must-have for anyone homeschooling.  Lots of helps and
information on choosing a curriculum, avoiding burnout, motivating children,
understanding your child's learning style, etc.  Definitely an essential!  By far my favorite
homeschooling reference book.

Teach Your Own by John Holt - Another great book writtin by a former public
school teacher.  Lots of great homeschooling encouragement.

Educating the Whole-Hearted Child by Whole Heart Ministries - a fantastic
book for helping to understand the different homeschooling philosophies out there today.

For the Children's Sake by Susan Schaeffer Macaulay - encouragement in helping
you provide an education that is a wonderful, life-enriching, joyous experience for all.

And for those of you interested in the Charlotte Mason approach to
education, I highly recommend you read these books.  You can also view
the
Cliff Notes I made from reading these 3 books.

A Charlotte Mason Companion - Personal Reflections of the Gentle Art of
Learning by Karen Andreola - great reference guide for the Charlotte Mason methodology
of education children.

More Charlotte Mason Education by Catherine Levison - helps teach parents
how to instruct their children at home in a nurturing, loving, and relaxed environment.
One of my favorite books.

Charlotte Mason Study Guide by Penny Gardner - full of Charlotte Mason
quotes, guidance, and study information.
While many of these
books may be found
at your local library,
I provided links if
you prefer to order
them.
