| I am 12 years old and in 7th grade |
I love to play chess! I am a member of the United States Chess
Federation and enjoy playing in tournaments. I am also trying to learn how
to design and create computer games. I also enjoy taking care of my corn
snake, Henry, and my two rats, Ava and Noir.

Other Things I Like to Do: Aside from playing chess, I love taking Karate, participating in Boy
Scouts, and learning to create computer games. I also enjoy reading, exploring outside,
working on the computer on chessworld.net, swimming, drawing, and playing with friends as
well as participating in our homeschool group's many activities and clubs. I also enjoy
volunteering at our local food pantry and Matthew 25 Ministries.

What I want to be when I grow up: Work on Wall Street
In Sept '09 we traveled out west and visited 13 national parks and places of interest: Sequoia NP, Yosemite NP, Craters of the Moon NM, Yellowstone NP, Grand Tetons NP, Arches NP, Hovenweep NM, Four Corners, Sunset Crater Volcano NP, Grand Canyon NP, Bryce NP, Zion NP, and Death Valley NP During the 6-month Cincinnati Scholastic Chess Tournament, this is how I placed: Oct '09 - Second Place medal Nov '09 - Second Place medal Dec '09 - First Place medal Jan '10 - First Place medal Feb '10 - Second Place medal Mar '10 - First Place medal Won First Place trophy for the entire tourney Honor Roll: Oct '09 - all A's Dec '09 - all A's Mar '10 - all A's May '10 - all A's In Oct '09, I received the First Place trophy in the Hamilton County North Central Branch Library Chess Tournament (was undefeated in the division of grades 4-6) In Oct '09 I received the rank of Scout in Boy Scouts. In Dec '09 I earned my Green Belt in Karate In Jan '10 I received two Rick K Anti-Vandalism Barnstar Awards in Wikipedia for my work to correct vandalism in articles In Jan '10 I was elected Project Manager for our boy scout troop patrol. In Jan '10 I came in 5th place overall and received a trophy in the K-12 open section of the Knights of Northern KY Chess Tournament In Feb '10, I earned the following Boy Scout merit badges: fishing, coin collections, leatherworks In Apr '10, I earned the following Boy Scout merit badges: carpentry, pathfinding, tracking In Mar '10 I won the 11th place trophy in the Queen City Classic Chess Tournament in Cincinnati at Paul Brown Stadium in my grade division 4-6 Open. There were 56 other children in this division. In Mar '10, I earned my 3rd degree Brown Belt in Karate In Jun '10, in Boy Scouts, I earned the following merit badges: reptile/amphibian studies, basketry, first aid, fingerprinting, and woodcaring |
