| Review of Easy Prep SAT Vocabulary Flash Cards Sets 1-4 by Easy Prep |
This is an outstanding way for junior high and high school students to study for the
SAT. When you find something that works, you stick with it. And we've used several
vocabulary programs, and this one is amazing. My daughter not only has learned
these well, but she uses them in her writing.
The program comes with 750 cards per set and a small pamphlet-style dictionary for
all the words included. My 8th-grade daughter came up with her own lesson plans for
the year, which primarily consisted of learning 5-6 new words per day followed by a
complete review of all learned weekly. Of course, a complete review can take well
over an hour when you're into the 500's! But it works!
Pros: Students can work at their own pace and create their own way to study.
Cons: The only thing missing are tests of some sort. However, that said, with all the
review my daughter does on her own and the way she uses this vocabulary in her
writing tells me she's learning!
Bottom Line: This is an outstanding product. We plan to use all 4 sets!
UPDATE: Easy Prep has appeared to have gone out of business. This is sad news!
