Review of
A Word A Day 6th+
by Evan-Moor
A Word A Day is a quick and easy way for children in grades 1-6 to learn vocabulary.
Four new words are presented each week.  Each includes the definition, part of
speech, antonym/synonym, contextualized sentence, and a quick exercise using one or
a combination of personal connections, graphic organizers, discussion question, and
multiple choice.  The 5th day is for a review of the 4 words learned that week.

Pros:  Children spend only a few minutes each day learning a new word.

Cons:  We find the graphic organizers a bit confusing and skip those exercises.  It
would be nice to do away with those in favor of the other reinforcements.   Also, I wish
there was a quiz/test every couple of weeks or so to ensure learning was being
maintained.
